Timing Belt — 1KD-FTV 1KD/2KD: Prado, Hilux, Dyna KDJ120, KDJ150, KDN145, KDN150 (1997–2015)

Timing belts are critical to replace every 120,000 km or less to protect your engine from catastrophic damage caused by a broken belt. It is highly recommended to replace the hydraulic tensioner, idler, water pump, and thermostat at the same time. Replacing the front main seal and camshaft seal is also strongly advised to prevent oil contamination of the timing belt, which can cause premature failure.
