Front Crankshaft Oil Seal (Timing Case) for the 1HZ, 1HZ-T, 1HD-T, 1HD-FT, 1HD-FTE & 1PZ engines — Toyota Land Cruiser & Coaster (1984–2007).

This is the main front crankshaft oil seal located at the timing case. It seals the crankshaft snout behind the main pulley and prevents oil leakage into the timing belt area. Oil contamination of the timing belt causes rapid belt degradation and can lead to catastrophic timing failure. Always replace this seal whenever servicing the timing belt, timing gears, or main crankshaft pulley — the pulley must be removed anyway, so there is no reason to reuse the old seal.

Note: This seal (90311-58007) features a secondary lip on the face. It is interchangeable in some applications with 90311-58006 (without secondary lip). Verify your application before ordering if unsure.
