Timing Belt Idler Tension Spring for the 1PZ, 1HZ & 1HD-T engines — Toyota part #90507-27001.

This compression spring maintains correct pressure on the idler pulley in the spring-type timing belt tensioner assembly. A weak, broken, or missing spring causes belt slack, timing deviation, and can lead to catastrophic engine damage. Typically replaced together with the idler pulley, tension pin, and timing belt as a complete service.
