Timing Belt Idler Tension Spring for the 1HZ & 1HD-T engines — Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series & 80 Series (1990–2004).

This is the compression spring used in the spring-type timing belt idler tensioner assembly on the 1HZ and 1HD-T gear-driven timing system. The spring applies constant pressure to the idler pulley to maintain correct timing belt tension. A weak, broken, or missing spring causes belt slack, timing deviation, and can lead to catastrophic engine damage.

Note: This spring is for spring-type tensioner models only. It is not used on hydraulic tensioner variants. If you are unsure which type your engine has, contact us before ordering. This part is typically replaced together with the idler pulley, tension pin, and timing belt as a complete service.
