Serpentine Accessory Multi-Rib Belt for the 1KD-FTV & 2KD-FTV engines — Toyota Hilux, Dyna & Hiace (2002–2015).

This multi-rib (serpentine) belt drives the cooling fan and alternator from the crankshaft pulley. Unlike older V-belt designs, the multi-rib belt transmits more power with less slip and runs quieter. A worn or cracked belt risks overheating and alternator failure — inspect regularly and replace on schedule to avoid roadside breakdowns, especially on work vehicles and long-distance touring rigs.

Replacement Interval

Inspect at every service. Replace every 50,000 km or sooner if cracking, glazing, fraying, or squealing is present. In harsh conditions (heat, dust, heavy loads), inspect more frequently.
